William "Bill" Robert Platfoot

William “Bill” Robert Platfoot, age 78, of Tipp City, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 18, 2026. He was born February 26, 1947 to Herbert & Wilma (Boeke) Platfoot in Lima, Ohio.

He is preceded in death by his parents; sister Betty Harshbarger; brothers-in-law Roy Lea, Terry Billing, and Doug Bisher.

He will be missed and remembered by his loving wife Angela A. (Grieshop) Platfoot of 55 years; daughters Andrea (Wade) Dexter of Troy and Maria (Mark) Camp of Scarborough, ME; grandchildren Noelle (Luke) Earhart, Grace, Eva, Luke, Lauren, Lindsey, and Jenna Dexter, Olivia and Henry Camp; 1 great granddaughter and 1 on the way; siblings Phyllis Lea of Canton, GA, John (Rosie) Platfoot of Kingston, TN, Diane Billing of Anna, Connie Bisher of Springfield, Duane Platfoot of Anna, Sharon (Rick) Staley of Tipp City, Richard (Joyce) Platfoot of Botkins, and Steve Platfoot of Botkins.

Bill was a member of the Church of the Transfiguration and the Schoenstatt Movement. He retired from UPS after 42 years of service. Bill raised all kinds of birds (rheas, peacocks, chickens, and crows). He loved playing pickleball, gardening, and hiking. Bill loved traveling with his wife Angela and spending time with his grandchildren who were the love of his life.

A mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, February 23, 2026 at Church of the Transfiguration, 972 S. Miami St, West Milton. Burial will be held at 2:30 PM on Monday in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, OH-119, McCartyville, OH. The family will receive friends from 4-7 PM on Sunday, February 22 at Hale-Sarver Family Funeral Home, 284 N. Miami St, West Milton.
