Darlene Hoskins

Darlene Hoskins, age 81, of Englewood, passed away on Wednesday, January 21, 2026 in Dayton, Ohio. She was born May 23, 1944, to Jay and Josephine (Mitchell) Hoskins in Dayton, Ohio.

She is preceded in death by her parents; sisters Phyllis Ann Hoskins, and Beverly Bower; and Aunt Wanette Hoskins.

She will be deeply missed and remembered by her brother Don (Norma) Hoskins of Jacksonville, FL; nieces and nephews Mark Bower, Kim Flood, Alison Golden, Jay Hoskins; great nieces and nephews Cory Flood and Lindsey Flood Spencer, Paiton Golden, and Greyson Hoskins.

Darlene was a graduate of Fairview High School. She went on to earn her Bachelors degree from OSU and Master’s in Social Work from University of Cincinnati. She faithfully worked and served for Montgomery County Family and Children Services for 44 years where she also became the manager. Darlene was like an angel at Children’s Services and one in a million. She was a mentor and friend to her employees and the ultimate professional. Darlene loved children, especially her nieces and nephews and all her family. She enjoyed gardening and planting flowers. Darlene was kind and generous to everyone. She loved us all and she will be missed.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 7,2026 at Hale-Sarver Family Funeral Home, 284 N. Miami St, West Milton. Interment will be held at a later date in Royal Oak Cemetery.
